Mr. Azmi's career began in the structured, high-stakes world of corporate banking, both in the local market and overseas. He counted 20 years of service at Hatton National Bank, covering many districts and serving as Branch Manager, leaving in 2006 as an Executive to the Gulf. He ventured into Islamic Banking and served as a Corporate Banker in an environment defined by precision, risk assessment, financial strategy, and the constant pressure of delivering value to institutions that moved economies.
But beneath the surface, something else was growing — a desire to build solutions that were tangible, technical, and impactful in everyday life. That desire led him to an industry few bankers ever imagine entering: Vertical Transport Solutions.
Every lift installed becomes a silent promise: that people will rise and descend safely, smoothly, and reliably.
In banking, safety meant compliance, audits, and financial controls. In vertical transport, safety meant human lives.
